Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-08-27
1. The service
Nibwright ("the Service") monitors Upwork job postings through the official, read-only Upwork API using credentials you provide through OAuth, screens each posting against your saved searches, and drafts a cover letter with Claude when a match clears screening. Upwork's public API has no mutation for submitting a proposal, applying to a job, or spending Connects, at any scope or approval tier — the Service does not and cannot submit anything on your behalf. You copy the drafted letter and submit it yourself, from Upwork's own apply form, and you remain the sole party responsible for the contents and submission of every proposal.
2. Your Upwork account
You confirm that you have read and agreed to Upwork's Terms of Service. We use the Upwork API as a legitimate, authorized, read-only integration: server-side polling on an OAuth token you granted and can revoke at any time. We never request write access, never ask for or store your Upwork password, and never run a script inside your logged-in browser session. Connects are only ever spent when you submit a proposal yourself, directly through Upwork.
3. Subscription and billing
The Service is offered on a recurring subscription of $14.99 USD per month (or an annual plan), billed through Stripe. Each subscription includes a monthly allotment of usage credits (1,000/month on the monthly plan, 3,000/month on the annual plan); additional credits may be purchased as pay-as-you-go packs. Credits are consumed by in-app actions such as drafting a proposal or creating a saved search — never by Upwork Connects, which are separate and spent only when you submit. You may cancel at any time via the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4. No warranty on outcomes
We make no guarantee that any drafted proposal, once you submit it, will result in a reply, interview, contract, or payment. Outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including job market conditions, your own edits to the letter, and the criteria you configure.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Submit proposals to jobs you do not intend to perform.
- Violate Upwork's Terms of Service in any way.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or pose a risk to Upwork's platform.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to amounts paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
